I love volunteering in the cafe, after years and years of browsing (and buying) in the bookstore. All you see is donated. All proceeds go to fighting homelessness and ending the AIDS epidemic. So have another coffee and buy a book for a friend!
Amazing little find in New York. They do spoken word poetry and have a truly unique assortment of books. You will happily get lost there for hours.
Nice place to peruse some great books and sip on tea. Love the work they do. Went there on Easter Sunday after having brunch with my family. Nice way to spend an afternoon.
Wonderful, quiet place to enjoy some tea and a good book. Could have easily spent hours browsing. You can round up your purchase to the nearest dollar for an extra donation to their cause (Ex: $14.50 is rounded to $15.00 for a .50 donation). Makes paying it forward a little easier. The staff is so friendly as well.
Wonderful venue for talks, meetings, readings, what-have-yous. Serves coffee, sells fine books, and it's all for a great charitable cause.
