On October 6th 2025 ,I payed to have a home inspection conduct for a Veteran Administration home loan . After closing the 14th of November 2025. I had to hire a Certificate and Licensed Electrician to my property to rewire my panel box that was tripping a couple breakers. That should have been caught on the inspection. Also A brand new 1st floor bathroom had a major issue with the shower pan , it's was not dripping it raining in the basement. That should have been caught on the inspection. Initial thoughts were pretty high, but after moving in and crawling under the house myself major rot was discovered in the floor joists and sill. It took all of two minutes for me to find this rot. It looks like both bug damage on the sill and just dry rotted joist. I am not a professional and have no to limited experience with things like this, but it was blatantly obvious there was rot under there after going under myself. I think they can do better with their inspection and reports. Missed out on lot of information , molds and leaks that we found out after moving in the house.
