If you value your time, dignity, and mental health, think twice before committing to this place. The program’s pacing is glacial—literally taking multiple weeks just to cover a single “session”—and even then, you might not get a chance to speak. In small group therapy, they’ll skip your turn entirely while letting others ramble on for the full hour. Any attempt to ask for a copy of their policy or a basic explanation for why things are structured the way they are? You’ll be stonewalled with vague excuses or outright refusal.... read more

If you’re queer, neurodivergent, or medically complex—RUN. House of Friendship is like the Disneyland of “trauma-informed” lip service: shiny brochures, nice facility, decent programming… but god forbid you actually need any of that stuff to survive. They tossed out my psych meds like expired yogurt and didn’t provide informed consent when they kicked me out. Why was I kicked out? Cause I had my own prescription on me, valid. It would be even more valid if they actually showed up on proper med times to distribute client medi... read more
