This is a must have for me every time I'm in Sac. The owner is great and remembers you every time. Love this place!!!!
If you're looking for white linens and fancy, this isn't the place. But if you're looking for authentic southern cuisine, this is it. Delicious food and friendly staff will make your experience enjoyable.

Just ate here with the family for the second time today and it was even better than the first time. We had Tri-Tip, BBQ Chicken, Red Snapper, homemade Mac N Cheese, excellent Greens, Baked Beans and Corn Bread as moist as cake. Everything was so delicious that we ordered Chicken Wings, Peach Cobbler, and Sweet Potato pie to go. The owner was great too! He comes out to introduce himself and personally check on his guests. I ate at house of Chicken and Ribs Friday night and the meat was amazing very tender and well seasoned (tri-tip, beef ribs, wings (wings were a little salty)) Loved the BBQ sauce as well. However I was disappointed by the sides I had the mac n cheese it's like the use nacho cheese and I'm not sure I cared for the ragatoni noodles either and they must use miracle whip for the potato salad and I'm not a fan of miracle whip makes it sweet. I have always loved this place and used to frequent there once a week..Now all of the sides are mediocre and the customer service has totally gone down hill..If the tritip wasn't amazing, I would probably never go back..
