One of the most incompetent dentist in the melbourne area. I was a patient for over 10 years. During this period Dr Houk seemed to regularly have a reason not to perform my annual exams as required by state law. This year she had an personal appointment on my exam date. I reported her to the Florida Dental Board for negligence. She has not performed the dental exam on me in over a yesr. She shows very little empathy for me the patient. I would not recommend Dr Houk. Don't show-up to this office with any particulate in your mouth other than air, water, or saliva - Dr. Houk will get distgusted. Came in to get implants examined and due to the existence of temporary crowns on the implant abutments, she refused to do it. Very frustrating .. I wasted a bunch of time with this dentist who was very unpleasant.
Update: Though I had an amazing experience, I was unexpectedly sent a $1,400 bill eight months after the procedure, and it feels like no one in the office is actively working to resolve it with insurance. Dr. Valorie was incredible—gentle, professional, and attentive. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Highly recommend—10/10!
This was my first visit to the office, with a 3:00 PM appointment. I arrived early and was promptly taken back by a very kind hygienist. Unfortunately, the X-ray machine malfunctioned, causing a delay. After about 10 minutes, it was decided I would switch rooms to complete the X-rays after measurements were taken. Told to arrive at 2.15. Waited in the dental room,was told she was finishing up with a pt,be right in.it didn't happen. We went out at 3.30,was told she went to another pt, that was after us was after us. A hygienist came in at3.50, asked us if we wanted to reschedule, as they had no idea when she would be in to see us, .no one approached us, until we asked them.we left at 4pm.
