Very good experience from getting the quote to having the installation completed in a neat and professional manner. I found the installation crew to be polite and focused on doing the best job possible for me on the installation. They went out of their way to keep me in the loop on the progress of the job. On completion, they showed me how to operate the new system in a manner that I could understand. UPDATE: HOUK has still not reached out to us about anything. We ended up having to get an attorney involved. If you are a customer who is or has had trouble with HOUK please reach out to Charles Kaplan at Kaplan Law Group. They are very confident in this case. Technician assisted us with what’s apparently called “dirty sock syndrome” on our brand new units. I guess this dirty sock smell happens from humidity in the attic where the HVAC units are. We had the condenser coils cleaned with an anti-microbial and anti mildew product. The technician also showed us a ventilation control system that we did not know that we had and apparently that filter needs to be cleaned out every so often. We called Houk to get a second opinion after our AC unit wasn’t cooling as expected. They were able to schedule a next-day appointment, and the technician gave me an hour’s notice before arriving. When Francisco got here, he was professional, friendly, and quickly began assessing the issue.
