The hotel is beautiful, and the location is perfectly situated along the Water Street shopping district. 2 things would have made me rate a 5: 1) the mattress is a little firm for our taste, so could use a little more padding. 2) our jetted tub would not turn on. Continental breakfast was decent with fresh made croissant sandwiches available to reheat.
I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel during a vacation to Decorah, Iowa. Its central location made access easy to everything to do in town. The room, on the backside of the property, was quiet. When I travel I seek the charm of older, historic hotels; this delivers that charm.
I was soooo looking forward to trying the local food but I missed it I arrived close to 9 pm. What I arrived to was incredible hotel property, amazing room, friendly staff. I wish I knew about this hotel before. I travel for work. It’s a stellar hotel. And the COFFEE was spectacular trust me I sampled that.
Made a research based decision to stay here last spring - dealt with Lynn Arrived today - dealt with Christy. Great hotel. Traditional elegance. Very pleased to be staying here - we shall return
Super cute hotel. Room was a decent sized and nice and clean. Only downside was our room being on the front of the hotel so could easily hear the street noise. But I bring a fan everywhere so that covered it just fine for sleeping. Loved the location with super easy walking access to all things downtown. Will definitely stay here again next time I go to Decorah.
