Nice Boutique Hotel I have stayed here a couple of times and have been very happy with every stay. I tend to book this hotel on hotwire and I get a great price and the quality is superb. I love the color palette they use in the rooms and the beds are great! The Aveda products are definitely a plus.
Great boutique hotel This hotel exceeded my expectations. If you reserve far enough out -- the rates are more than reasonable. The rooms are boutique (aka: somewhat small), but decorated very nice and the staff was great. It is also in a very convenient location near Union Square. If you are looking for a really nice, but yet not quite five star, hotel -- The Serrano is the place.
Hotel Very nice place for locals and visitors. They have a great resturant in the hotel. The only downside to this is that the price is very very high. But other than that the is a very good hotel with everything.
Hotel From the moment you arrive, every aspect of this place stands out. When you check in, you're given an opportunity to play blackjack for a free upgrade or other prizes. Pretty good Me and my boyfriend stayed here for his birthday a few years ago. We had an excellent room, the room was pretty large and had a separate area with a couch and a 2nd tv. also had a jacuzzi bathtub. Was wonderful!
Nice location, nice hotel The walls were a bit thin, so if you're a light sleeper it might not be the place for you, but that is the case with most hotels in this area. The Kimpton hotel has its standard animal print robes, which are always fun. However, I don't know that it was as nice as other Kimpton properties I have stayed at.
Good for business, bad neighborhood The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is very nice, but the rooms are very small. I was in town for an (exhausting) conference, so it was great to come back to smiling faces, a VERY comfy bed, and a nice plasma tv. Still, there was very little room to move around the bed in a standard room, and it was pretty much the bed, the desk, and the door to the bathroom. However, if I was in town to work, I'd absolutely stay again - a great crash-pad.
