GROSS!!!! Stay Away!!!! We stayed here several years ago and it was wonderful. It has gone downhill and not clean anymore. Our shower was full of mold and mildew. There was blood splatters on the bathroom doorframe. But….. I got a wet towel and could wipe up the blood and some of the mold/mildew stains, which means the hotel cleaning staff could do the same. Quality historic hotel with friendly service, nice location and amenities. The hotel and staff were 5 star, the restaurant staff less so. The hotel was clean, well appointed and staff was attentive. There were cute facts and historic info to be found around the hotel. Food at the attached restaurant was expensive, slow, and lackluster. Highly recommend the hotel but leave and explore the town for your meals. Great location for views and walkability.

I had one of the suites and the only real complaint is the room decor. It is really hideous. Dark, terrible, harsh lighting, lack of natural light, awful colors. Fortunately we had beautiful weather and could take advantage of terrace at the main hotel. The staff were very helpful when we asked about changing rooms, but they were all the same.
