This is one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Santa Cruz has the cool surfer vibe and an amazing Boardwalk. This hotel splendidly captures the spirit of the city. The bar service was amazing led by the enigmatic Rainbow. Don’t let the fact that it was a Holiday Inn deter you because the transformation into an Autograph level Marriott brings it up to standard while keeping some of the past in play.

I had a lovely business stay at the Hotel Paradox and the experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel is well designed with a huge open bar/dining room area to the pool where many families were having a ball. The eggs benedict breakfast al fresco was delicious. Room was very clean with a super comfy bed. Hotel front desk was especially helpful - Big thanks to Guadeloupe for mailing my lost makeup bag ($$$) back home to me! That was extra, extra effort. I will absolutely return!
