Nashville is well-known among Indiana's art circles for the Brown County Art Colony which was established in 1907 when artists started to arrive here and live together. Founded in 1836 by the settler Banner Brummet, this city was initially called Jacksonburg until it was finally incorporated in 1872. This touristy place attracts visitors for its cultural events, nightlife, lush forest cover, state parks, lakes, nature trails and galleries. Storm came knocking our power out 5 in the morning. 7 pm our power came back on. but we made due. Wished we could of shopped more but shop weren't open cause of the storm.
Rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy, but it's very old and needed to be updated. The chairs on the deck were both broke, thankful we noticed before sitting down. They are pet friendly, but they charge an additional $50 for your pet it's non refundable, so the room charge was $149 plus the $50 pet fee, and again, this place is old.
We loved our stay. The staff was so accommodating and very friendly! The hotel is a little outdated but it was very clean. The onsite restaurant offers amazing food and it was very busy. The food was great!
