Located in the historic Monte Vista Hotel, this lounge attracts locals as well as those who have booked rooms in the hotel upstairs. Legend has it that the entire hotel is haunted, and some people have allegedly seen a 'ephemeral dancing couple' that takes the floor on occasion. Nonetheless, there's live music almost every night that runs the gamut, from blues to rock and everything in-between.

The lounge at Monte "V" seems to be quite a hot spot in town (as much as there can be one in Flagstaff), but the hotel itself leaves much to be desired in a stay. The lounge has pool tables, a good happy hour, and entertaining live music. The hotel is a dirty, old mess so unless you are hoping to see one of the many ghosts that supposedly haunt this old hotel then I say pass!!!
Not For Those Planning Sleep Before 3 a.m. – My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. Two rooms and little sleep later, we can recommend this hotel for people who intend to be out and up until 3 a.m. only. The first night we were in a room on the 4th floor almost directly above the hotel's dive bar. Screaming drunk people, a booming bouncer's voice, and bongo drums prevented us from sleeping.
