Our room was dirty and had bugs. I was very disappointed! That being said, the location is super convenient.
I had a really great first impression of La Fonda. Mary Bernadette is really caring and empathetic and hospitable. And I loved the way the rooms were decorated. However, my last night I found two bed bugs at 4am. The night shift guy, Gabriel, said there was nothing he could do so to wait until 7am. I got out of my room with all my stuff and waited in the lobby. He asked if I was waiting for someone. I said “I’m the person with the bed bug. The room was nice enough, clean, no bugs. The location seemed to be great and convenient at first but once night came it was a different story. Bunches of young people began pulling in their cars and congregating. Loud, bumping music, loud car exhausts, racing around the square began around 9pm and increasingly got worse. It didnt stop until around 1-2am. We tried keeping the volume in our TV in the room up to drown out the noise and sleep, which didnt help. The next night (Saturday) was slightly better.
