Hotel Havana, a total gem. Shane thank you for the warmest greetings upon our arrival on our special day as it truly started the mood off right for the perfect day. We appreciate the kindness you showed to us and our senior pug, Daisy. The entire experience was wonderful. We had a beautiful place to experience love and we hope to return - we hope this isn't the end but a beginning.

I quite enjoyed my stay at hotel Havana, the personalized touches were great. The room was cozy and quaint. The historical atmosphere was so much fun. I love getting to experience history. I loved the little balconies on many of the floors. The bar and restaurant were lovely and delicious as well.

My opinion: Come to the hotel to eat at Ocho or have a drink overlooking the river or to enjoy a cocktail in the very cool downstairs bar. But stay someplace else. We'd been here before for a meal and really enjoyed it -- Ocho is a great spot with a great vibe. So we decided to stay on a return to trip to San Antonio. We ended up feeling like we paid premium prices for very not-premium accommodations. We like old places and live in one ourselves, so it's not that we don't enjoy a vintage vibe. I wanted to like this hotel but it just wasn’t up to normal standards. Pretty threadbare and no services. The bar was closed for a private event so we couldn’t get a drink or even sit near the river outside of the bar. We tried but were kicked out. No bottles of drinking water so I had to drink tap water during the night. It’s been years since I’ve not had complimentary water in the room. I travel a lot for work. I haven't experienced better customer service at any hotel I stayed. I had some issues with room bookings due to 3rd party services (no fault of the hotel!). The front desk agents and manager were very accommodating and worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I needed. Special thanks to the receptionist that was there during my check in.
