This is a great hotel with kind service and larger (for NYC) sized rooms. The hotel is in a great location with close by restaurants, subway access and necessity stores without being in the mass chaos of Times Square. The rooms are dated with older phones, alarm clocks and a need for more chargers/ charging stations near the bed. But overall comfortable. The service is good and the light snacks in the lobby are appreciated.
The service was excellent from start to finish, without exception. The amenities are a little long in tooth (90's phones and iPod-ready clock radios, none in great shape) and the breakfast is basic, but the place is very clean and the rooms were nice. I'd say it's worth the small premium. They do have cribs for your baby or toddler, but know that lots of the rooms have balconies, so bring something like zip-ties to keep the balcony closed and your young kids away from a big fall risk.
The rooms were modern and very clean. Being able to open the window was key - I want to breathe fresh air and hear the sounds of the city. You don’t feel like you are confined in a closed box. But the window was double paned so it was quiet when closed. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is light but has options so you can begin your day. The location is great, in walking distance of restaurants and a pretty park.
Amazing gem of a hotel. Great staff, very clean, lovely continental breakfast and afternoon tea/cake, super location. Excellent value for a central New York hotel.

It's really close to the Flat Iron and Madison Square Park, a short walk up to the Empire State, Bryant Park and the Library and ideally placed to get across to East 34th Street Ferry terminal or west through Chelsea and towards the High Line. We walked all over Manhatten from there - as far North as the Met, as far South as Wall Street Ferry terminal and across ... read more
