Two Thumbs Up We just completed a two night stay and it was delightful. My husband and I tend to shy away from Bed and Breakfast, but the Hotel Alcott was a reasonable compromise when staying Cape May. The room was modern and updated, albeit small, but with the beach a block away and the shops of Washington Mall two block walk, as well as the rockers on the porch who needed a big room. Wedding at Alcott I had my wedding reception at Hotel Alcott this past weekend, the food was amazing, the wait staff was on top of things, hotel room wonderful! My problem with them was lack of communication on their part!!! They forgot to get the permit for the ceremony & then forgot to tell me I needed to send a check to the city! They told me the day I went down to finalize food I was supposed to see the baker first, not the 10 times I had talked to them before that! Great wedding, Great accomodations! The Alcott is one spectacular hotel. We had our wedding there and our guests are still complimenting our wedding from 2 months ago. I actually received 'thank you' notes about the whole affair. The food was spectacular and they accommodated my husband's lactose intolerance and my garlic allergy easily. Hotel Alcott Hotel Alcott is a charming Victorian style small hotel walking distance from the beach in Cape May. My sister-in-law just had her wedding there and it was intimate and beautiful. The rooms are small but charming. Relaxing to sit on the rockers on the front porch of the hotel. Breakfast is included in the rates. I thought the rates were reasonable for a hotel of this class. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I had my wedding at the hotel alcott and it was amazing. The service, staff and food were all excellent and the day went off without a hitch. I stayed in one of the 2nd floor suites and had an amazing room. The bathroom was large, the bed was very comfortable and for such a hot time of the year, the air conditioning worked great. Also, towels are provided for the beach. Lastly, I ate at the restaurant in order to sample the food before my wedding and it was great as well. This is the place to stay in Cape May.
