I've been staying at the AKA Alexandria on a weekly basis for work over the past few months, and it continues to exceed my expectations. Each room is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything I need, great shower pressure, a beautiful bathroom, a cozy robe, a steamer, and even a Nespresso machine for those early morning meetings. This is a well-appointed hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and thoughtfully curated art throughout the property. The location is convenient for accessing both Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Valet service was prompt, and the on-site restaurant appeared impressive, though I did not have the opportunity to dine there. While the hotel is clearly high-end, the overall ambiance—particularly the darker lighting throughout—didn’t quite suit my personal preferences. This was my first time staying at this property. The areas to relax in and the gym was great. The room was very spacious with a nice size bathroom to go along with it. The amenities on site including the bar and lounge were great with amazing staff as well. If I'm in the area, I would've definitely stay there again.
