On a quiet Sunday Morning and without warning, our inherited 25-y/o hot water heater decided it had enough and started leaking; slowly at first, then with more volume and velocity. Got a couple of bids for a new water heater install, and to my surprise, HOTCO didn't do a list of add-ons to the base price, which showed up as a considerable increase in other bids. Starters: their base price was reasonable, and they included the standard items required for a proper installation. Purchased my tankless 6 yrs ago when Doug owned the company. Gave a 5 star review. Unfortunately he passed away and the company is now run by his wife. SIx weeks ago we had no hot water. Technician came and flushed and serviced the tankless water heater. Cost was $430. Approximately 6 weeks later the tank was leaking. Technician came out and diagnosed a part that had corroded.
