Update as of 3/11: After the owner responded to this review, I sent a detailed timeline privately and was told they would check with the manufacturer regarding coverage. During our conversation the dealer offered a year of salt cartridges (roughly a few hundred dollars in supplies), but my concern has been less about operating cost and more about confidence going forward after the warranty period. We met Doug for the first time on Saturday. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. He recommended a product that I had never heard of to help clean the pipes in the spa. It worked extremely well! Thank you Doug for the great conversation about the spas and for your help!
We stopped into Hot Tubs by HotSpring on Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Doug. He was so kind and helpful throughout our time there. He was able to give us all of the chemicals that we needed as well as recommending a plumbing chemical (I don’t remember the name of it)to help clear the drains before emptying the tub. It was amazing how much it helped. Without Doug’s patience and demeanor we might never have known about the product. We look forward to working with Doug at our next visit to the store!
I’d rate this 2–3 stars. The staff is polite and they eventually respond, but ownership turned into a five-month chain of problems (September–Feb 10) that all stemmed from the original display failure and never truly stabilized until Feb 10. This is a Limelight Flair and the first failure occurred only about 1.5 years into ownership. The display failed, which meant I couldn’t monitor water chemistry or see which soft keys did what.
