We booked a five week stay for a place through HostGenius. We initially made the reservation through AirBnB, but were then told less than a week before our stay began that we had to cancel our res there and rebook through HostGenius, probably because the property did not have the newly required licensing for short term rental. I had an unprofessional experience working with Host Genius. Throughout my time with them, communication was limited and unclear, and at the end of the agreement, they failed to pay the full amount agreed upon in the contract. Despite several follow-ups, I received no response. If this is how they treat their collaborators, it raises concerns about how they might treat their clients. I wouldn’t recommend them.
