$748 for a strep throat test!? Insane! Update. Recently went for another strep throat test. It now cost $1,845. They wonder why nobody trusts them or wants to go to the hospital. Nobody can afford this ridiculousness.
Needed an ultrasound and after finding that memorial in Decatur couldn't get us in until November, they suggested we try there. Appointment was at 8, we got there by 745 and was on our way home by 8
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The night shift CNAs need re trained or to find new ones. Because, what person in there right mind raises there voice at a sweet blind old lady who had a stroke because she couldn't see what way she was going to get to the showers. The night shift CNAs do not help they raise there voice at her and are hateful, never once have I seen them come back in to check on her when leaving food right in front of her knowing she can't see. I can’t say enough good things about this hospital. The emergency staff got me in (with my kidney stone) almost immediately and worked like a well-oiled machine to do all the tests they needed to do to get me some pain relief asap. I came from Springfield after some very bad experiences with the hospitals there and it was worth having to pull over and throw up in a cornfield to be treated with respect and empathy.
