I fired my sleep doctor today. I'll need a new referral from my GP. Being a person with invisible disabilities, I feel worthless communicating with the person who books the appointments. I asked a sincere question about a topic she brought up herself and she mocked me sarcastically, treated me like an idiot for having to ask. I had to ask three times before I got a simple answer, but by then, I knew that was it. She made it personal. I can't have that. I won't. EDIT; guess who's back at the sleep for almost a year now? Moi! And it is the best career decision I have done. I am no longer just a PSGT I am now certified and I am hoping I can take my exam next month to become registered ! This is the happiest self growth I ever had and I cannot wait where this will lead me! Perhaps a registered polysmnographic perhaps a director who knows. I do know one thing, I am aiming high! Awful experience, forced to schedule an appointment during work hours and I was unable to make my appointment, which they want to charge $200 for a missed appointment. The lack of care and understanding is astounding. Zero understanding for life happening, they are just here to take your money. I asked to have an appointment on a Friday which unfortunately the doctor doesn't work on Fridays. Must be nice.
