Thank you to the staff for the exceptional care and compassion they showed my Nonna throughout her stay here. The whole process from beginning to end was as smooth as experiencing the passing of a loved one could be. The grounds are peaceful and filled with nature, surely helping the patients feel more at peace.
When this hospice told us they had a bed for my 93-year-old grandmother, it was the answer to our prayers, as she had been suffering in a hospital orthopedic unit for weeks that was ill-suited to palliative care - and she wanted nothing more than to have the chance to leave the hospital and spend time with family in a home-like setting with gardens for her final days. I visited Hospice Vaughan near Islignton Ave and Rutherford Rd several times near the conclusion of the 2022 year. The building has a mentally supportive layout with lots of windows for natural light. The building was always clean and organized. There are general seating locations in an open area outside of private rooms. There are also group seating areas in a private room and this layout is helpful to address various visiting circumstances.
