If you want to roll the dice with your loved one, then put them here. My brother was only here for a few days but I've seen better care by a veterinary hospital when it comes to end of life care. Run, don't walk. Thankful there are some people who had a favorable experience. No pain management, no dignity, no empathy for family members.

My friend was here for a couple of weeks before dying. Although the staff was friendly, they did not understand the timing of her death or her level of pain. The doctor said she had 3-10 days left in the day she died. The nurse was afraid to administer a drug used at end of life too early on the day she died. She was in pain many times, particularly the last 3 days of life and even her screams did not alert them to administer pain meds. I have no words to say thank you My father's transition in the last hours of his life was excellent. the nurses, and the staff, in addition to the care of the beautiful building, are very good. Dr Gonzales is an angel that God put in my path, his compassion and empathy are unmatched. Thank you all and my father is resting and he left in peace and without pain

The fact that you are reading this and even considering putting your loved one here is shameful. If you truly care about them then take them home and do hospice at home. They will send nurses to do the same thing. If you don't care about them and are hoping to cash in on your inheritance quickly then you found the right place. This place is methodical implementing their system of legal euthanization. The "doctor" at the transferring hospital sent "do not feed" orders for a person with no problems swallowing. Our Mom was only at Gerstenberg Center for 2 days, but during her stay we were very impressed with the nursing staff, especially Mary, who were compassionate and caring and anticipated Mom's needs. The food looked good, what little I saw. The staff were very nice and informative to us. It's a very quiet, peaceful place. I highly recommend this center.
