My Grandma had Hospice as an inpatient in the hospital.. it’s a very hard decision as a family to make.. but my family did to provide my Grandma the comfort and care she needed. I was nurse at the time, not working in hospice. I can tell you that as a nurse that experience about hospice changed my opinion forever. The Hospice Dr and Hospice team came and and spoke kindly to my Father, gave him and my family the encouragement and uplifting support in a very difficult time. This company is now called Uplifted Care Hospice from Kankakee. If I could give zero stars, I would. Would not recommend them or their services as we were very disappointed with how they “cared” for our beloved mom in her final days. My mom was in their “care” for at home hospice services for the past four weeks. At first they started off good, getting her home and settled in, scheduled social worker, chaplain, CNA, and nurse visits but things went down hill quickly in terms of providing care and services.
