I Lost My Mom two weeks ago tomorrow and had Hospice Care through her Rehab Facility. I have to say they seemed genuine. There were a few that seemed nice . We have been Chautauqua County residents, all our lives.... I inquired with Hospice regarding, transferring my Husband to Hospice . I inquired about Insurance coverage, my Husband had Veterans Insurance. Chautauqua Hospice DOES NOT ACCEPT VETERANS INSURANCE.... Hospice was awful. I dad left HAMOT hospital at 8:45am by ambulance to come home under hospice care. Around 9:15am I started recieving calls from hospice saying they would not be able to come see him, we would have to wait another day. I told them it was unaceptable and they needed to figure it out and just show up. My dad would need their care. They called again.
