The home hospice nurses were wonderful, home health aides amazing!! But the Dr at Mary Ann Tully Hospice Inn that said my daddy was too well to stay at hospice inn and kicked him out!! I will never forgive him/her!! They put him in an ambulance 9 days before his birthday when he is supposed to turn 90! He ended up being shipped to the Bronx. I don’t think I can describe how amazing the staff, the nurses and the aides are at this facility. So caring, helpful and considerate. They understand what you’re going through and have all the compassion for you and your family member.
My father-in-law, Oscar was here for the last 6 days of his life. The nurse who was caring for him when he passed, Danielle Maestre, was amazing, she cared for both he and me. She set up a bed for me, constantly checked to make sure that both Oscar and I were comfortable. She made sure he was pain free and as comfortable as possible. She provided me with information so I knew what to expect and supported me through the process. Can't say enough about her.
This facility was/is truly heaven on earth....everyone was so dedicated to my 94+ year old mom....easing her journey to heaven meant so much towards easing my grief......mom is now at peace and in heaven...amen...amen.
