Great service before and during the sale. Great advice on the phone to help pick the proper floor, helped with installation questions. Even found a mistake on the quantity I ordered (I ordered way too much!). Great pre-sale advice. Price of the floor, glue and underlayment was in line with other retailers, so the price was good. I wanted a hardwood floor with a thick wear layer. While remodeling, ran out of hardwood flooring. Purchased cheap untreated flooring & tried to match paint to no avail. Called Hosking to get pricing on hardwood I needed. Sales rep gave price quote & explained since I didn't purchase my previous flooring from them, might be slight color variation. I understood as I knew it wasn't from same "paint batch." DO NOT BUY : jeff hoskings unethical – I would place a negative star on hosking flooring. DOT Buy this retailer sells flooring like Scandian Flooring that is out of the USA and will not support your warrenty. This is an evil company and evil person Jeff Hoskings. We've ordered hardwood flooring twice from this company. Both times, the boxes arrived in mint condition; no missing pieces or damage. The folks we've talked to in 2006 were the same folks we talked to in 1999. Great experience!! Highly recommended!
I purchased Mannington engineered hardwood flooring (Oregon Oak) from Hoskings Hardwood Flooring earlier this year. I found the company to be outstanding and staff were very professional. My materials were delivered on time as promised! However, the scratch resistant surface on the Mannington product leaves a lot to be desired. If you have pets, I would not recommend this flooring if you have pets!! Mine is less than one year old and covered with scratches. Scratches from pets are not covered under the product warranty!
Hosking Unreliable – Do not buy from Hosking. they overcharge for extras and do not stand by their products or services.
