In 1945 Dorothy and Arthur Horton opened up their dream, Horton Seafood Market , with a complete selection of the finest and freshest seafood. In 1963 their son Bob, started cooking in a small corner of the market the best fish & chips, the soon-to-be-famous fried clams and more for take-out. It is time to put this crap behind and reopen somewhere else. The family is well heeled enough to be able to do that so why did they close for so long? Is it on principle? To have something no one else has and to throw it all away with the hired help is ridiculous. I can't believe that was the final choice.
How can a family that does such a great job cooking not reopen elsewhere???
Extremely disappointed Horton's is closed for good. Very sad. Every now and then I need my Horton's fix. A complete shame that East Providence officials are treating you and your dedicated patrons unfairly. Thank you for all the great years of serving the best seafood around.
Please, please find a new location and re-open. We miss our clam fix!
