Although the staff is helpful the insurance service is not competitive. Audits seem random and expensive with huge unexpected spikes in monthly premium price. Whatever happened in the last merger or selling of this company it now seems to not be the small agricultural/flower/plant based business model that seemed to work so well in the past but just another large Sentry insurance group trying its best to extract the most money out of its small business customers. Our business has been evacuated because of nearby fires twice in two years. Both times we were very lucky, but last year the fire was close and we couldn't visit our site for a week - with nobody to take care of our inventory, we experienced some loss. Hortica was prompt, helpful, clear in what they needed, and they treated us like people who'd just suffered a scare/loss - not like people trying to take their money (like some insurance companies can be). They ont care about the Worker,just the business that pays them. I am living proof. Workers comp gives u a pain pill,physical therapy,even if they make your pain worse they call it maximum physical improvement, even though they did Zip,ZERO, for me. I have an Instagram video on it all!!!
The very best customer service team EVER!!! Courtney Vowels and Petra Tatum are simply amazing. In my business I need a lot of COI and when I call or email a request within minutes - literally minutes, my request is acknowledged and then taken care of as quickly as humanly possible. Besides being extremely efficient they are friendly, kind and in general a real pleasure to work with. Kudos to Hortica for having such great people on their team.
