Hortica is a small shop offering indoor and outdoor plants. We always have something unusual and fun, and we take special pride in helping you get the right plants for you in your place. There is a small outdoor nursery with dozens of varieties of herbs, flowering perennials and natives chosen for the San Francisco climate, or rather, climates! Inside there are colorful blooming plants, orchids, pottery and supplies for gardening. Lots of organic options too.

They "water" the sidewalk to hurt homeless people who just need a place to sleep, and we're tired of hostile "merchants" like this abusing people.
4 star – Great place for plant lovers. CONS: Overpriced
A great find in the Castro district! – Hortica is a wonderful find. They have a great selection of exotic and drought resistant plants and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their orchids are incredible in both colors, sizes, and prices. I have been looking for just the right plants for my yard for 2 years and Hortica seems to have them. Even though I live in the East Bay, I'll be back to Hortica any time I need plants for my yard now that I have "discovered" Hortica's!
SO much to choose from! It never fails - whenever I go to Hortica, I always leave the store with much more than I had intended on purchasing. Best place in SF to purchase plants.
