Last night we ended up at the Horse and Carriage in Norfolk. Great restaurant that we never think to go to because its kind of out of the way. Indoor seating only. Booth backs extended to about 8 feet high. We had a table in the middle of the room. Lots of social distancing. Safety protocols all followed. We’ve been ordering takeout through curbside pick up since the pandemic started. The food is delicious. The employees are pleasant and it is obvious that they are taking this health crisis seriously. We are happy to support this great local business and you should too 🙂
Sometimes you can go Back. Buttercup and I went to The Horse last night and some things never change. When we lived in Norfolk for 25 years while raising are 4 children, we were a fixture at the horse. At minimum 1 or 2 nights weekends and Friday and most Saturday nights. We ordered from Horse N’ Carriage for a wedding shower. The service was great, they were very flexible with us about both the menu and schedule. The food was delicious & fresh, I would definitely recommend the lobster rolls! So grateful to them for making our shower even more special.
Thank you! We have lived in town awhile but had not yet made it to Horse N Carriage. We decided to try takeout last week. We had the best dinner! I also felt very safe picking up the food. The prime rib was the best I’ve had and appreciate it was cooked perfectly! We loved the buffalo wings, finally a place that doesn’t skimp on the blue cheese. Have a great vacation and we look forward from ordering again!
By far the best takeout experience/food during Covid restrictions. Tonight we had fish tacos. They were delicious. Two huge tacos filled with fried fish and a spicy mayo. I could only eat one. Excited for leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Staff is friendly, helpful and quick. Can’t wait til we can dine in again!
