The endless list of failures from this institution made my mental health worse. I'm going to say that again: Horizon Health Services made my mental health worse. The counselor, whom I did not select myself, was actually fine in the end. I was assured that my sessions would be $10 each. After I had already completed 5 sessions ($50 total), I was sent a bill for $697. After seven years as a patient, I feel obligated to share my experience. I repeatedly reported medication side effects that were significantly affecting my physical health. Instead of discussing treatment options or making clinically appropriate medication adjustments, I was told my prescriber would not make changes because I do not have a counselor through Horizons - I receive therapy outside of horizons now.
