I too have Super Home Warranty and when my AC stopped working, I rushed to google reviews to learn more about the company they were sending. It did scare me to see the low ratings but I know that Super does a really good job of vetting service providers. Avoid Horizon AC at All Costs — Unprofessional and Unreliable I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Horizon AC, owned by Tonya, was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. We originally worked with Horizon through Landmark Home Warranty to replace two air conditioning systems. The process was a mess from the beginning. Can I please get a call back at least? They ghosted me, it's summer in Texas, they came and told me what needed to be done to fix my AC and then nothing?.... Left several voicemails, emails, phone calls, and nothing.
I got a little nervous when I read the reviews after I scheduled to have a new ac unit installed, but my experience went smoothly. Jose came out Friday because my ac wasn’t cooling all that great. My unit was over 40 years old so I knew it needed to be replaced at some point. He told me some things I could do to patch the problem but ultimately it was about to die so I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet. Horizon HVAK tried to scam me out of my money. Also, the Airconditioner company (on the horizon HVAK) put my life in danger by switching things in the air handler so heat would come out with the cold air setting. It was so dangerously hot in my house my daughter and I got sick. There crooks! If this happens to you with any company and it gets dangerously hot after they go … get a second company to come check it out.
