While vacationing in the Ann Arbor area, we decided to explore more of Michigan by taking a day trip to the UP! Not being familiar with the area at all, we searched for nearby restaurants and there was Hoppies! It was worth driving well out of our way. We left with full (very, very full) stomaches and smiles on our faces from the excellent, friendly service... and the slogan "If you found us, you're probably lost!" 😆
Very good food nice staff
I like the place but the family who was talking to one of the guys at the bar, very loudly used the “N” word in a very derogatory fashion. No one in the restaurant went out of their way to indicate how inappropriate this was.
RecommendedA refreshing reprieve from typical bar foods! I was looking for something different than the “typical bar food” and found it! Nice, clean, sports bar, family atmosphere.I think I found my new “date night” place! Will go back soon!!!!

Great food. Love the Planked Whitefish and the Fried Green Beans are the best I have had any where!!!!!
I had the Small Wet Beef Burrito- loved every bite. If it wasn’t bad manners I think I would have licked the plate!� We have 2 more weeks in town and I’ll make sure to come back several times!!!
