Great Staff! Wonderful location. I was extremely nervous and they were able to accomodate me. The offer nitrous at no additional charge. I would highly recommend Dr. Hopkins to all my friends and family.
Dr. Hopkins has been my personal dentist for 20 years. He and his office staff are highly professional and create a very comfortable, relaxed environment. He stays on top of the latest procedures and treatments in the industry. His staff(hygienists, assistants, front desk) are always concerned about quality and take the time to do things right. The doctor is good. But the front desk staff are not helpful at working with insurance claims. They put down the same set of tooth number for two claims. The insurance won't pay for the same tooth twice. I called the staff, they said the insurance might not pay for them anyways since they are in sextants instead of in quarters. But I thought they still should have helped me by working with the insurance company to have the tooth number corrected first before jumping to the conclusion by themselves. I was terrified 11 years ago of all dentist (past experience). My mouth is awesome and now I go in just to say high and get a cleaning! 2 years ago I had a cheap HMO and went to their dentist. I am now paying the price it was not worth it. Michael is fixing it all over again!
As long as I live in the area and Dr Hopkins is dentist he'll forever be my dentist. I was referred to him by a friend after going to several dentist in the area. I've never felt more comfortable with a dentist ever. After having done a filling he called me the next day to make sure everything was ok. I've never had a Doctor call me it was such a wonderful surprise. While in his office everyone was polite, cheerful, and over all the two appointments I've had were delightful.
This is strictly about his customer service not his qualification as a dentist. Until a couple of days ago I had no problem. His hygienist "Debbie" (who is not my regular hygienist) did a poor job of cleaning my teeth. She was running late ( 15 minutes) and was trying to finish for her next appointment. She was extremely rough and was hurting me and I told her so. When she wanted to polish my teeth I declined because they did not feel clean and she was too rough. Dr. Hopkins and his staff are professional, courteous and kind to all their patients. His patients range from the very young to the not so young. I've had fillings, cleanings and crowns. Very little pain and they really talked me through everything that was being done. Everyone who works there seems genuinely happy to be there and it rubs off on his patients. Going to the dentist can be a dreaded experience but it's not if you are going to see Dr. Hopkins.
I don't know about the "Best in my area" category ( I have only been to him), but Dr. Hopkins is a nice guy, very professional, and the experience was about as good as it gets for time in a Dental Chair. I have had cleanings, fillings, and sealant replacement done by him. Overall very good.
