The main reason we came here for dinner was a recommendation from a friend of mine who was here a month prior. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy . Basic bar on first floor with tables and a dinning area on second floor .we originally were seated upstairs but it was freezing cold . We got reseated in the bar area downstairs. The food was incredible. I had cioppino and my date had scallops. We both enjoyed the meal .
I've been to this location on several occasions and always had awesome entrees. Last night was a big disappointment. I got the scallops which were very salty and I left 3 on the plate. The cheesy grits and corn were amazing though. A couple of the people at my table got the crab cakes and rockfish both of which were dry. The waitress offered to switch out their dishes and gave us two free desserts. I really wanted to enjoy my meal but was sadly disappointed. I'm very much a fan of these guys. I prefer just hooked in Fenwick I think the food is much better there. I had an amazing bartender last night his name was Phil didn't excellent job I believe his name was Love the food no complaints there. Disappointment was getting the bisque and having it served with a teaspoon in it versus a soup spoon. Will always go back to both places never a complaint about the food or service. Here for Realtor's Convention. We were treated horribly in this restaurant. Mgr, Chris wanted 92 y/o lady to walk up 2 flights of steps instead of letting us have a table on main floor. Then when one of our party ordered a side dish, she was told she couldn't have it because they were saving it to go with dinner. (She had ordered an appetizer and side). We loved the place a lot. Great food and service. I ordered the Scallops plate with cheese grits and it was so good. Baked Oyster and bom bom Shrimps were amazing too. I also recommend the crab cake.
Delicious crab bisque! Lunch portion of tuna great also.
We were here tonight and the food was great! The service was subpar. He just needs to learn customer service!
