Wonderful staff who makes you feel welcome when you walk in. As a new member, I met with a consultant who demonstrated the exercise equipment for me, made sure I felt comfortable using the various equipment, and documented the settings for each one. That way when I go back each time, I don't have to try to remember the correct settings.
Why would you deny the Seals swim team pool access? Too many lifeguards a problem? Is the pool too safe? Not enough kids sitting on their phones at home or doing worse? There could be another potential GOLD medal Olympian or at the very least, compentant swimmers who can spread safety around water which is what Cook children's gives you 50k a year to teach. The Hood County YMCA is truly the heart of the Granbury community! I absolutely love my Zumba classes with Vanessa and Julia—they bring so much energy and joy. The workout floor is always well-maintained, and I appreciate that there are plenty of machines available so I never have to wait. What really sets this YMCA apart is the people and the sense of community.
