I had the pleasure of being a guardian on mission 36 and I was blown away by how organized everything was from beginning to end. The team who puts these missions together are truly special people! The mission itself was one of the most humbling and rewarding experiences. Being able to spend a day with the men and women who served our country and getting to hear their stories was amazing. I plan to continue being a guardian in the future and to keep being an ambassador for Honor Flight.
Yesterday I was so privileged to be a Guardian to a Hero. The entire mission experience ... there are just no words to describe the love, humility, humbled feelings of awe. I am changed for the better forever and can't wait to be a part of this again in the future. If you have the means and ability to do it...YOU MUST!!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of something so monumental.
This is truly an incredible organization! Mission 40 was the first time I was a guardian but it won't be the last.

I was a Guardian on Mission 40. The tears came when we boarded the flight home. In WWll, Korea & Vietnam the only contact the soldier’s had with home was “Mail call.” They hoped for news and pics from home. WELL, the Honor Flight staff had secretly reached out to ALL the kids, grandchildren, siblings and spouses and asked them to send a letter to their veteran about their military service. Seeing the look of awe and excitement on my Honor Flight Marine Corps Veteran Will Korber's face throughout the day was awesome. He thoroughly enjoyed the day and we were both overwhelmed by the amount of careful planning and the graciousness of every single volunteer with the program. It was one of the highlights of our lives. I was honored to be an Honor Flight Guardian!
What an incredible experience to witness! The patriotism was truly inspiring. ❤️
