The hotel and grounds are so beautiful and the beach and docks are always clean. My only wish is that they could figure out a better solution for the restaurant/food situation. Since the resort is so remote, having convenient food options on-site would make such a difference. Maybe turn the restaurant into more of a self-service/buffet-style option, or even a small grocery/market where guests could pick up meals, snacks and essentials. We are enjoying a pleasant stay for several nights. The staff are all friendly & helpful. We completed a very pleasant 4.5 walk on the Savanna Ridge Trail on a cloudy morning. It is well maintained with a couple of lake views in the summer. Views will be better in the fall & winter. I wouldn't recommend walking on a hot sunny day since there is limited shade. The resort facilities and rooms are well maintained. We were surprised by the limited numbers of guests and there weren't any boats or evidence of people fishing.
They keep going bankrupt and can't figure out why, meanwhile it costs $250 to use the pavilion for 2 hours, $20 per person to swim, and the food is mid.
Our trip to the Harbour 72 was not resort level dining.... Sunday evening 5 people- 2 adults 3 kids 14+. Kids wanted up scale food after our weekend at the lake. A year ago, we ate several meals there. Over priced, but good food, large servings and on time delivery. This year, nothing good. Menu was closer to a bar/pub then resort. No real chicken entries(tenders, tenders chopped on salad), half of appetizers on menu were not available.
