60% of the order either superseded or laid one round of brood and then the colony dwindled to nothing. The remaining queens are doing well ( I think). No offer to replace queens or refund. Only remedy was a discount on AFB vaccinated Italians. Maybe this was a one off situation but I have my doubts. They were shipped in a JZBZ battery box which in itself is fine. I’ve had the best luck with bees from Honey Bee Genetics! Just ordered 2 hives again.
After serving Northern California with a great passion for bees and his fellow beekeepers Tom has decided to retire and sell this business. Kind of sad in one respect but not so much if you have ever had the opportunity to deal with the new owners at Tauzer Apiaries. Trevor and Claire will treat you well.
