Been going to this seasonal location on Southern for over 5 yrs. Always a great experience. This year was a near disaster for other reasons (see other reviews). But my biggest issue is as follows. Online order charged $43 as "average cost by weight to be adjusted at pick-up". Bought 2 at $43 each. Got home, noticed I received one priced at $38 and one at $33. No adjustment offered at pick-up. I know...my bad. But this will never happen to me again at HBH.
Never sent me a confirmation email, they do not answer their phones, ever, and they didn't have the boneless ham I'd ordered and paid for several days earlier. Waste of time, effort, and money. But hey at least they didn't charge extra for giving me a ham I didn't order since they apparently mismanaged inventory and sold out of boneless hams before 10 a.m.
Update: STILL no refund yet. This is absolutely garbage service seriously. You ruined a lot of people’s Thanksgivings this year with this BS. At least we had Walmart to trust to save the day with our meals. Seriously what is the point of ordering ahead and paying in advanced to not get your food?! When you order and pay ahead you are supposed to guarantee the food for everyone. Extremely bad business practice going on with this. Didn't have my order even though everything was confirmed. I guess I'd recommend picking up 2 days in advance because they won't even send you anything that they don't have it, you'll just have to show up and be disappointed.
SCAM ALERT. Saying my jaw hit the floor doesn’t begin to cover it. I PRE-ORDERED a $320 Thanksgiving meal on October 10th with an 11am pickup the day before the holiday. I show up early at 10:30… only to be told they were out of turkey—actually, out of EVERYTHING except ONE item on my list. No one knew when (or if) a truck was coming.
