Best trip I’ve ever had - hired John Candy for two weeks and the van became a home away from home. Good and friendly comms with Will in the lead up the departure date. Will kindly made sure the van was stocked with all the supplies you might need to feel comfy including some tasty coffee. The van had character and I had no troubles with it whilst away on Vancouver Island. If you're looking for an authentic camping experience beyond motorhomes, then you are here at the right place. Even picking up the vehicle was very relaxed. The Mercedes Metris fully met our expectations and allowed us to complete our tour without any unwelcome surprises. Many thanks to the Campervan Team, and especially to William, for some useful tips at the beginning.
We rented a Mercedes Sprinter "Michael Scott" for three months. It was the perfect size van for our family of three. We had no technical issues, and William was a pleasure to communicate with. We made our little dream come true, and I'd happily rent it again.
Honest Camper strikes the perfect balance in their camper van conversions between over-equipped and under-equipped. Simply, their vans are set up for an awesome and relatable travel experience. This isn't some large impersonal venture, but instead is run by a fellow who makes it a pleasure to rent and a joy to get on the road. For the travel adventurer looking for the best possible alternative for a camper rental I couldn't recommend Honest Camper more highly.
It was a really nice process renting from Honest Camper. Booking online was easy and the vehicle was exactly as described. Easy to pick up and drop off. I went with a couple friends in the VW westfalia. I think this is the perfect camper to rent if you haven’t driven any sort of RV before. It’s a little slow, as advertised, but fits in a regular vehicle spot and has great visibility for anyone nervous about backing up for instance.
