Always a good job every time.
When they first started out they weren’t too bad but over the last few years they have become less dependable. Finding better prices and workers at other prices. I understand they have to make a living but they have over quoted me more than once. I would look elsewhere for better and more honest pricing.
More than once I got a second opinion and the second opinion price was much lower and made to seem like a smaller deal than honest was making it out to be. The heavyset owner knows as much about cars as someone as someone from the Stone Age.
Honest-1 Autocare did a great job on my 2006 Toyota 4-Runner's 100K mile service. It was easy to get an appointment, and being that the auto service is just up the street from where I live, it was super convenient. They did a diagnostic on my 2006 4-Runner, and gave me a few items that needed addressing which I immediately took care of. Now I feel like my 4-Runner can go at least an additional 100k, as long as I keep getting it serviced. John, the owner, was great and I plan on taking my car there for all future service.
For codes P0172 P0174 and P0420 the mechanic reported results of only the code pull and a smoke test. Ask for specific tests from a different mechanic of wire harness to bank 1 oxygen sensor, the sensor itself, and at least a laser temperature reading from the catalytic converter upstream and downstream when getting P0420 codes. They recommended replacing the upper intake manifold gasget and the catalytic converter. I suspect the codes will return to archive after I use cataclean with 4 gallons of fuel in my tank.
