The stay was for a sports event, that had athletes from across Canada, and from other countries as well. This was my second time staying here, and the stay was as great as before. The staff are always helpful and seem happy, which is key - happy staff means happy customers! After checking out earlier today, I was checking my banking online. I saw something that was not on the receipt, which was invoiced on the day I arrived. The first night of three that we were there, at about two am, my spouse and I were awoken by fire alarms - and, it turned out, an actual fire in the hotel. We stood outside in the cold, thankful and appreciative that the firefighters did their job well, and after about an hour were cleared to go back in the rooms. No acknowledgement, compensation, or accountability was taken on the part of the hotel. (That is, aside from extending the breakfast for another hour the following morning.)
