Nice place. Beautiful rooms and friendly service.
We arrived at 11:30 pm for a one-night stay on our road trip. Very convenient to Highway 101, but far enough away so road noise wasn't an issue, unlike what I read in other reviews of hotels just off the freeway.. Very attentive staff, both on the phone booking with the front desk and also in person with the reception, housekeeping, and the wait staff at breakfast. My wife had a very disappointing experience at Homewood Suites in Oxnard. After a long day of travel she was unable to check in on schedule as the electronic keys malfunctioned. She had to wait for maintenance to change the lock which took around an hour resulting in a further delay getting into the room. When I called the manager a day later to complain and politely request a break on the rate she left me on hold for 10 minutes and then said she could do nothing for me, saying she was sorry in a tone that indicated nothing ... read more
