Digital key did not work but clerk was smart to give me a key card when I checked it. Nice room but thin walls. Good breakfast.
I only stay at Hilton Hotels due to their typically good location, cleanliness and comfort. This happened to be the worst stay I have ever experienced at Hilton. When we first arrived in the room, the television would not work so we notified the front desk. We were told it was a building issue and was being worked on. We were fine with that, so we went for a walk and had dinner to pass some time downtown. We came back and the television was still down so we just all showered and got ready for bed. Arrived in the evening around 7:00. At the time of booking our hotel we requested a crib for our 1 year old. At the time of check-in, we again confirmed that we would be getting a crib. Tried calling about an hour later and no answer at the desk. Went down to the desk to confirm that we were still getting a crib and was told that they were looking for one across the street at a different hotel. Never did end up getting a crib. I’m honestly not sure where to start. This is our second time staying at this property and the first time was great. Thus, why we came back. However, this time it was awful. - paying for parking - why am I paying $15/night? My vehicle was broken into by the local trash. If you’re going to charge for parking you need to at least have some sort of reassurance that ppl aren’t going to rummage through our stuff. Good Location, close to Restaurants, and Several Downtown Venues. IA is just acrossed the river. Walking, Uber, Lyft, Bikes, Scooter, & Transit are very close; its pretty easy to get around. Best if you have a Car or Truck. Enjoyable stay. The Staff was warm and welcoming. Management even have special evening events. My room had a nice view from the 8th floor.
