A short (less than 2 miles) ride from downtown Newport. Significantly less expensive than the Marriott. Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Very clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was good too. It is a 10-minute drive to downtown Newport.
First time to the Newport area, so expensive to stay in downtown Newport so I was skeptical about staying in Middletown but I was so impressed. Getting to Newport and the beaches was so easy. Also first time traveling with a 1 year old and this hotel was so accommodating, they immediately had a very clean pack-and-play brought to the room as we checked in. Breakfast options were creative and consistent, a departure from many lackluster hotel breakfast options these days.
