This hotel did not feel safe. Housekeeping tried to open my door and when they were stopped by the bolt latch, they then spent several minutes trying to disengage the lock via prying through the slightly opened door. I've never seen anything like this in all of hundreds of hotel stays and it's extremely concerning. Clearly if the door doesn't open, it means someone is in the room. And sleeping and does not want you to break in. Unbelievable. I meant to bring this up when I stayed last week but I had to rush out early.
For a new hotel, I am pleasantly surprised. We stayed on the top floor of this hotel. First things first, the room layout is great. A little tight on the walk way to the bed. Everything else was wonderfully done. The view of a run down liquor store and construction isn't great. So just keep the curtains drawn and the TV on. Modern Chic seems to be what this Homewood Suites is all about!
This place was awesome big nice comfy bed and pillows.. the room has all the appliances.. location and parking was great would definitely recommend and stay there again had a nice river view and roof top bar..
It was fine.
