Very comfortable!
My cousins and I flew into Joplin due to a family emergency and the staff at the Homewood Suites made our stay, during our grief, so much easier. They were extremely friendly, always made sure we had what we needed, and made it a point to check in on us. The room was clean and organized with the only fix we needed getting done asap. The food was wonderful, including the caramel cookies, and the amenities provided were great. The staff and Manager went above and beyond offering customer service. They were offering a snack reception prior to our check in time and I "chatted" if I could arrange for some cake from the reception to celebrate a birthday that day. I was assured it could be taken care of. What I learned upon check in was that the Manager personally went to Wal-Mart and bought a cake and had it in our room. Stopped here driving from TX to MN and back. Liked Joplin and this hotel enough to stay here 2 times in the same week.
Clean, quiet hotel in a very convenient location just off Rangeline and close to the interstate. The surrounding area has plenty of dining options; mostly chains, but also some solid local spots. Rooms appear recently updated and offer more space than typical, with useful features like a table and couch.
